What is the cost of the 6 Mb service?
The cost is $49.99/month for Residential accounts.
The cost is $79.99/month for Business accounts.
As always, Atlantic Nexus does not charge junk fees.
What we quote is what you actually pay for the monthly service.
Charges for hardware and additional services are not included in this price.
How long will it take to upgrade my service?
Due to overwhelming demand we are making the service available over the next eight weeks.
Customers may request an expedite:
$50 expedite fee to have the service provisioned within two weeks
$25 expedite fee to have the service provisioned within six weeks
There is no charge for a standard order provisioned within eight weeks.
What is the speed of the 6 Mb service?
The sync rate of the 6Mb service is around 6.5Mb x 600Kb.
On a bandwidth speed test many customers should be able to pull 6Mb x 512Kb.

Please note that speed and sync rate vary due to circumstances beyond our control and are not guaranteed.
What if I can not get 6 Mb after I sign up?
Atlantic Nexus will guarantee speed equal to or greater than 4 Mb at www.atnex.net/stest. If you are unable to achieve speed of 4 Mb you will be downgraded back to 3.5 Mb at no cost to you and all charges for the upgrade will be refunded. If you are able to achieve speed equal to 4 Mb or greater but not able to achieve speeds of 6mb and would like to be downgraded, Atlantic Nexus will not refund any charges and a downgrade fee may apply.
Do I need to upgrade my hardware?
No, your existing hardware should be compatible with Atnex 6 Mb service
Will my static IP address continue to work with 6 Mb service?
Yes, your static IP addresses will continue to work exactly as they do with your existing 3.5 Mb service.
How does the service upgrade affect my contract?
By signing up for Atlantic Nexus 6 Mb service you agree to renew your 6 month contract from the date the service upgrade becomes active. After the 6 month term, the account will revert to a month to month basis.
Do I have to maintain a telephone line with the phone company?
Yes, at this time, an active telephone line with AT&T is required to maintain the service.
If your phone line is disconnected for any reason you may be subject to early termination fees and reconnect fees to have the service reactivated.
How will I know when my service is upgraded?
You will receive an email a few days prior to the speed upgrade notifying you of the day the order will complete. You can verify your speed by running a test on our site at www.atnex.net/stest. During normal web browsing you may not notice a difference in the speed of the service, however, during email transfers, file transfers, etc. you should see a noticable difference.
Note Checking Availability does not guarantee service availability at all locations. Although your phone line pre-qualifies for our service, there are circumstances beyond our control that may result in your inability to receive this service. Some of these limitations are not detectable until after the service upgrade has completed. If it is determined that we are unable to provide a stable service, you will not incur any charges associated with the upgrade and your service will be downgraded to a service at reduced speed.
